Football Coach

Hello! I’d like to introduce myself!

I'm an international Football Coach, with an UEFA-A coaching license and Master's degree in Sport Science.

Currently I am Head of Performance at Chelsea FC Women in the staff of Manager Emma Hayes.

In the past 15 years, I have worked for 7 teams and 1 national team in 8 countries (Belgium, United Arab Emirates, Iran, Russia, Cyprus, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia and UK) and 3 continents (Europe, Asia and Oceania).

I’ve assisted Belgian Manager Frank Vercauteren in KRC Genk (2007-2011), Al Jazeera FC (2011-2012), FC Krylia Sovetov Samara (2014-2017) and Al-Batin FC (2018), I was Assistant/Fitness Coach in the staff of Portuguese Manager Carlos Queiroz in Iran (2012-2013), in the staff of Dutch Manager Mario Been in APOEL FC (2017) and in the staff of Dutch Manager Darije Kalezic in Wellington Phoenix (2017-2018).

Everywhere I’ve worked, I’ve introduced the Football Periodisation Model as a tool to improve performance and reduce injuries, taking all external factors into account. The playing style of the manager is always the starting point!

I’m proud to have been part of teams that achieved multiple goals like winning the Championship & Supercup with KRC Genk (2010-2011), being part of the qualification (2012-2013) of Iran for the World Cup 2014 and winning the FNL Championship and promotion to the Russian Premier League with KS Samara (2014-2015).

Over the past 10 years, I have created my own concept ‘Team behind the team behind the team'. As I live to be a lifelong student of the game, I travel the world to attend courses and meet the best coaches & experts. This is how I've build an international network of experts who keep me up-to-date with the latest information and improvements that can be integrated (Periodisation, Testing, Monitoring, Strength Training, Injury Prevention, Nutrition, Hydration, Analysis, Recovery, Well-being, Rehab, …).
As an official instructor for World Football Academy worldwide, I closely work together with Raymond Verheijen. I've also been a course instructor (Coaching courses C, B, A and Pro) for the Royal Belgian Football Association for many years.
As a consultant, I now advise federations, clubs, coaches and players, both at amateur and professional level.

I'm proud to be the Ambassador for Voetjebal Belgium since 2016. Voetjebal is a 'play and learn' concept for kids from 2 to 5 years old.

On my website, I will regularly share blogs and articles about Sports in general, Football in particular and my own experiences while travelling the world.
